Dewax Bleached Shellac

Seedlac is further dissolved in aqueous solution and sieved to remove insoluble impurities. The aqueous shellac solution is treated with sodium hypochlorite to decolorize it. The Bleached solution is further passed through the filter press to remove the present wax from the solution. It is then precipitated with dilute sulfuric acid to obtain pure Dewax Bleached Shellac. The precipitated bleached shellac is ten filtered and washed with water for removal of acid and dried.
