Shellac
Sticklac is crushed and sieved to remove impurities. The sieved material is then repeatedly washed to remove insect parts and other soluble material. The resulting product is known as seedlac. The prefix seed refers to its pellet shape. Seedlac contains 2-5% impurities and is graded into different qualities as mentioned below:
- Golden Kusmi 2%
- Golden Bysakhi: 3%
- Fine Kusmi Seedlac 3%
- Fine Bysakhi Seedlac 3%
- Ordinary Bysakhi Seedlac 5%
Bleached Shellac (with Wax)
Seedlac is further dissolved in aqueous solution and sieved to remove insoluble impurities. The aqueous shellac solution is treated with sodium hypochlorite to decolorize it. The bleached solution is precipitated with dilute sulfuric acid to obtain pure bleached shellac. The precipitated bleached shellac is ten filtered and washed from water for removal of acid and dried.

Dewax Bleached Shellac
Seedlac is further dissolved in aqueous solution and sieved to remove insoluble impurities. The aqueous shellac solution is treated with sodium hypochlorite to decolorize it. The Bleached solution is further passed through the filter press to remove the present wax from the solution. It is then precipitated with dilute sulfuric acid to obtain pure Dewax Bleached Shellac. The precipitated bleached shellac is ten filtered and washed from water for removal of acid and dried.

Shellac Wax
It is a by-product obtained at the time of Dewaxing of Shellac, which is primarily used the cosmetic industry.Shellac Wax can be used in replacement Of Carnuaba Wax & Candelilla Wax.
Shellac Flakes
Shellac Flakes are produced by melting Seedlac to remove impurities, with the process of filtration. After
Lac Dye
Lac dye is derived from the water used at the time of the manufacturing of Seedlac. It is widely used in the Textile, Pharmaceutical and food industries.
