Master in Finance at Munich Business School is aimed at students willing to acquire advanced knowledge in finance along with the development of business and management competences needed in an international setting. The curriculum includes such topics as corporate finance, financial statements analysis, international finance, valuation of a firm, risk management, capital market and mergers and acquisitions.

Apart from acquiring specializations in finance, students enhance their strategic, leadership and communication skills by taking part in interdisciplinary business courses. Practical skills are also developed during business projects which involve solving real business problems for the companies. International experience may be gained by spending a semester abroad at any of MBS partner universities or through an internship related to the subjects studied by a student.

Course Structure
The Master in Finance degree program is a three-semester program that consists of 90 ECTS in specialized finance, international business and management, and executive competences. These include corporate finance, valuation, investment strategies, global finance, risk management, sustainability and financial technologies, among other areas and practical finance projects.
Across the three semesters, students complete the required modules and ECTS, followed by a Master’s thesis and a choice between a semester abroad or internship. The structure provides a balance of academic knowledge, practical application and international exposure.

The course comprises International Focus, additional language classes, electives, and responsible leadership, thus enabling students to extend their knowledge beyond mandatory finance disciplines. This ensures that students can acquire wider business views and skills along with specialized knowledge in finance.
